OUR CAGE
Our cage is built from wood and plexiglass. It is 200 x 70 centimeters, and it has two parts - a toilet with wooden pellets and the main area with IKEA bathmats (they can also be bought in JYSK) and towels underneath.
Our bottles and bottle stands are from Living World.
The hammocks are from Gizmo & Co, which you find on Etsy.
The hammock stands are from a shop on Etsy that does unfortunately not exist anymore.
Willow bridges are from normal pet supply stores.
The second floor is a DIY project - just like the cage.
CAGE CLEANING
Daily cleaning
I sweep the cage twice a day and remove any leftover food, wet wooden pellets or hay.
I also fill up the hay racks and food bowl and change the water.
Weekly cleaning
I change the bath mats once a week. I hang them outside to get any excess hay off of them and then wash them in an old pillow cover (I use detergent without perfume).
When necessary
I clean the water bottles and food bowls when necessary. I use rice to clean out the water bottles (empty the bottle, put a bit of rice in it and some cold water, shake it around, empty it).
