Hi guys,
Recently, I put up a story on instagram where you guys could ask me questions about the piggies. After spending a lot of time replying to more than 80 of the questions and a ton of DMs, I decided that I would instead reply to some here. Hopefully, this will also make it easier for you guys to find the information, you wanted.

So, here are the 10 most frequently asked questions:
1) What breed is Mew?
Mew (and all my other piggies) are shorthaired piggies. They do have different markings though. Mew is a black california (cali) white. California markings are not the same as the Himalayan breed of guinea pigs (they have similar markings, but red eyes). Californias have black paws, ears and noses - and their eyes are dark too.
There are different types of californias - but common for all of them is that they have darker markings than their base color.
2) How did you get Mew?
I got Mew from a person here in Denmark, who - at the time - did some breeding.
3) Where can I get a piggie like Mew?
Well this is really hard for me to answer. I live in Denmark - and I know there are a few breeders here, who breed calis, but otherwise I don't really know that many breeders. My best advice is to use google and look for a good breeder near you.
4) How old are your guinea pigs?
Eevee just turned two years old, and Chespin will turn two in a week. Plet is 1.5 years old, and Mew is 2.5 years old. Their birthdays are mentioned in my bio on my instagram profile.
5) Where are Plet's siblings?
So, I think I will do a whole blog post on this, since it seems to confuse a lot of you guys (and I don't blame you - piggie-family-trees can be quite confusing). Plet has three siblings; one brother that was born before I got Mew, and a brother and a sister, which were both born here with me. I would of course have loved to keep all three babies, but at the time I did not have space or time enough. Both Plet's brother, Filur, and his sister, Cocio, live with new families and have new piggie-friends. I sometimes get updates on their lives, and they are both very loved and spoiled.
6) What are the meaning behind the piggies' names?
Mew, Eevee and Chespin are all named after pokemons (and yes, I do like pokemon - that was another common question). Plet's name has a longer story (which I actually did try to explain in a story), I might make a whole post about his name and my childhood piggie one day.
7) How do you care for all your piggies?
I have decided to make a page on here about piggie care - I will try to explain in more detail what I feed them and generally make sure they are healthy and happy.
8) How/where did you get your cage?
We built the cage ourselves. I get a ton of questions about my setup (almost every day), so I will be making a page on here on my setup and where I got everything.
9) What should I feed my guinea pigs?
I will make a separate page on what I feed my piggies - and what has worked for us. But one thing I just want to mention is; that piggies should ALWAYS have access to hay.
10) Can my piggie live alone?
The simple answer to this is; no. Piggies are herd animals and very depended on the company of other piggies. They are generally more happy and confident, when there are other piggies around. And yes, there are some people who have piggies alone - but that does not mean that the piggie is thriving (there are even stories of piggies getting depressed by being lonely). Please consider getting your piggie a friend - human company (or the company of other animals) is not enough.
